Icy Spicy is not a just a story of 'love for food'. It is much more. It is a story of 'food for survival'. We shifted to Port Blair from the mainland in the year 2003. The initial days were a struggle for so many reasons, one of them being good vegetarian food. It is not good when you don't find vegetarian food in India! The only pure veg restaurant had a South Indian tinge to it, something which might not please every taste bud.

We could see the lacuna in the vegetarian food industry in Andamans. It was a great opportunity. Hence we started Icy Spicy, the first 'pure vegetarian restaurant' in Port Blair. Though Andamans is known for its awesome sea food and non vegetarian culture, over time Icy Spicy has made its mark as one of the best known veggie joints in Port Blair.

In 2007, we ventured into sweets and business has been rolling since then! Sweets from Icy Spicy are considered to be the best in Port Blair. And we offer the best of the varieties India is known for.

Ours is a family business run by three generations of family members and you can see all of them working at Icy Spicy. A touch of India not just in food but also in the way we run our restaurant! :) . The one thing which makes us stand out (apart from the food of course) is - the ambiance. We have a different ambiance for everyday of the week! So, we look different on Wednesdays and Thursdays and Fridays and so on.
